intimacy, delicacy, and in nearly immaterial veils of shape and color, an unmatched ethereality
Richard Axsom on Ellsworth Kelly
I miss my summer travels. I haven’t been on an airplane since June.
I was in Portland for some six hours this summer; partly at the Portland Art Museum, where I found I like Ellsworth Kelly. Three hours was too long for me to wander the museum by myself, though, so I spent awhile sitting in the courtyard writing. Surreptitiously took a photo of the side of the building, which I’ve just realized I’ve been looking at sideways for the past six months. Looks good this way.
